NYC Day 2

We had an early start to day 2 of our NYC trip! We had tickets to the 9/11 Museum at 9:00am so we grabbed bagels/coffee from a market near our hotel then headed downtown!

There are no words to describe how touching and meaningful walking through this museum was. We spent several hours there and we could have spent many more. So many stories, videos, and relics that left you feeling speechless. I'm so glad we started our morning here and I would definitely go back again.

Afterwards, we walked over to the Shake Shack in Battery Park City for lunch before our ferry tickets at 1:00. My burger, fries, and shake were so yummy!!

We walked around a mile down to the ferry terminal in Battery Park and it was a beautiful walk by the water but we were in a hurry so I didn't take any pictures! Haha

It was a very cloudy day so my pictures aren't great, but it still felt wonderful riding the ferry over to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

We weren't able to get tickets to go inside the Statue of Liberty (sold out when we tried two weeks before!) so Andy and I waited to get off until Ellis Island.

By the time we got to Ellis Island we were getting tired and my feet were hurting a lot!!! But we toured a few areas and it was very interesting. It is neat to be inside a museum/monument and imagine it as the important place that it was so many years ago.

A cruise ship sailed by as we were waiting for the ferry!

Once we got back to Battery Park, we walked over to the Seaglass Carousel. It was so neat!!! Riding those colorful fish to soothing music was the perfect, relaxing break we needed :-)

Afterwards, we headed back towards our hotel with a quick stop to see Taylor Swift's new place that she's renovating. We got some street hotdogs for a snack before taking a phone charging, feet resting break. Andy was very excited for his hotdog ;-)

After resting, we grabbed dinner at Angelo's pizza across from our hotel room and then we went over to the Marriott Marquis lounge in Times Square. It rotates 360 degrees on the 48th floor. It was a fun way to end the night!
