Enjoying Fall

We've been enjoying Fall around here!

A couple of weeks ago we went to Byrnside Branch Farm with our Sunday School class. It was a beautiful night and we had a fun time catching up with friends.

Then, last weekend, we attended a deacons' and wives retreat at the Greenbrier Youth Camp. Sadly, I've discovered that campfires bother my allergies (I got sick after our trip to the cabin and our night at Byrnside :( ) so I had to leave early, but Andy stayed the night and had a good time. Our Pastor gets pretty creative when it comes to these events though. Check out the "hay rides." Hahaha

Lastly, we've loved playing with Luci outside in the beautiful weather :-)

Fall is such a fun time full of activities. I can't believe the holidays are already around the corner!

Officially Official!

It has truly been a banner week for my sweet husband!!

He was ordained as a deacon in our church this past Sunday!

Then, on Wednesday he was sworn into the WV state court to join the West Virginia State Bar!! You may remember, we found out the wonderful news that Andy had passed his bar exam the day we met Luci back in April. We had to wait a long time for the ceremony but the day finally arrived on October 11th! He has worked so hard to earn this state license and we were SO ready to celebrate!

He decided to be sworn into the federal court as well. This ceremony was in the afternoon so of course I wanted to make a Target run in between :-) #wheninRome

Once his afternoon swearing in ceremony was over, I declared him OFFICIALLY official!

We ate dinner at SoHos in Charleston before heading back home to our girl.

I just love celebrating Andy's hard work and his love for Jesus. It was a wonderful week for sure!

Luci Diaries {6-8 Months}

Our girl turned 8 months old on September 24th! I can't believe she is getting so close to one year! Luci hasn't changed too much physically in the last couple of months, but she's definitely gotten some privileges since she's been older :-)

Luci still loves to visit Granny and Bailey next door.

Since Luci has been potty trained for a while, we have slowly eased into letting her stay out of her crate while we're away. So far, she has done really well!

We still have our neighbors come let her out once each day around lunch time.

She has learned "sit" and is responding a *little* better to "no."

Thankfully, we haven't had anymore recent vet visits. She also continues to be a GREAT traveler!

She officially lost her bed after ripping a hole in it, but she still prefers to sleep on the floor. We went over a month of her getting up every night around 2:30, but in the last few nights she has started sleeping through the night again. PRAISE!

And I will end this post with possibly THE CUTEST picture I've ever seen. I really can't handle it. We love you Luci B!!
