Litchfield Beach Vacation!

This past weekend, we went to Litchfield Beach with our best frands Amy and Tyler!

I took quite the interesting route to get there. Andy couldn't take off Friday so I flew from Beckley to Charlotte on Thursday. I got to spend a little time with my family before going to spend the night with Amy and Tyler at their house.

We arrived to Litchfield Beach right before lunch time on Friday so we got subs and took them to the boardwalk and enjoyed the view. It wasn't a beautiful day but any day at the beach is the best!

After a grocery shop and a total face plant (by me) bringing in the groceries, we headed back to the beach! The skies had cleared up and this was some of the best beach time we got all weekend. We looked for sand diggers, read our books, and breathed in the salty air :-)

Around dinnertime, we went back to our beach house to cook a shrimp boil and wait for Andy to arrive!

All in all, it was a wonderful first day at the beach!

Saturday brought lots and lots of rain!! But even a rainy day at the beach is better than a sunny day at work Ha ha We decided to be very lazy and it was nice :-) We read, we watched movies, and we played games. At one point, Andy and I ventured out in the rain onto the beach.

We saw some cute doggos swimming in the cold water! Then we headed up to the boardwalk to read under the covering for a little bit.

After a rainy day, we treated ourselves to Wicked Tuna! Amy and Tyler have always told us about this restaurant and y'all. It was SO good!!

The PERFECT ending to our day was when the clouds parted and we got to see a gorgeous sunset after dinner!!

It just kept getting more and more beautiful!

We just love these friends so much!

There was even a rainbow!

We decided to take one more walk on the beach once we got back after dinner. The rain didn't stop us from having a great day!

On Sunday, we spent a few more pretty hours on the beach before our long drive back home.

We are so thankful for our friends and the time we got to spend together at the beach!!
You know it's been a good weekend at the beach when you come away with tan lines :-P

Snapshots of April

Believe it or not, we got even more snow in April! Thankfully, April included a few warmer days too!!

We kicked off April with Easter weekend. For the first time since we've been married, we stayed home and attended our church Sunday. It was also the first time I had attended a "son rise" service. It was a great day at church!

After church, we headed up to Craigsville to have dinner with Andy's family. As tradition would have it, we got Easter baskets too :-)

We proceeded to get more snow the following week #facepalm

Thankfully, that weekend was a lot warmer!! Friday night we had a Murder Mystery Dinner at church with our Sunday School class. It was so fun and of course, Andy the lawyer guessed the murderer.

Saturday was BEAUTIFUL! We hit up the chocolate festival for a little while and then we went to Island Park to watch some little league baseball.

The middle of the month brought our first Bible study with the women's ministry

The middle of April also brought our last snow. At this point, Luci was sick of the snow just like we were ;-) Ha ha

My Mom, Phil, Anna, and Faith came to visit the third weekend in April. We always have a good time. We went out to eat, did some shopping, went bowling, and even celebrated my birthday early :-)

Mom was killin' it!

Even though it sort of looked like snow, I was so happy to see BLOOMS on our tree!

My 27th birthday was a pretty simple day. I was spoiled at school and after school with sweet cards and surprises. Andy and I went to dinner the night before because we had church the night of my birthday. That was that! Sweet reminders from those who love me :-)

The last weekend in April was spent celebrating my mother-in-law's 60th birthday! Andy and his brothers threw her a fun party. Sadly, I had gotten a sinus infection a few days after my birthday and I felt horrible. I'm so glad we got to be there to celebrate though!

Whew! April was a fun month and we have a lot of travel coming up in May. The fun never stops around here ;-)
