May Highlights

Katlyn's bachelorette kicked off May with a good start and here are some more highlights :-)

The end of the school year brings a lot of fun! We had a wonderful Teacher's Appreciation week and I felt spoiled by the end of the week!

I also got to go on a field trip to the children's museum in Roanoke. I love going there!

Our SALT Women's Ministry team put on a Daughters of the King tea and it was so nice. I thought it turned out beautifully!

Our speaker was Ashley Traficant, a dear friend of Becky's and she has a powerful testimony. It was a joy to hear her speak.

Our SALT team :-)

I documented a good (curly) hair day, which is rare!

& Amy and Tyler came to visit over Memorial Day weekend!

I think Lewisburg really shows off in the spring!!

Saturday morning we visited the Lost World Caverns!

I had never been down in a cave and it was pretty cool!

We ate a yummy lunch at Thunderbird Taco afterwards,

then we hung out and grilled out that evening :-)

and had a yummy brownie ice cream dessert because, of course!

We love when our best frands visit!!

During the last week of May,

Andy and Andrew had a totally unplanned twinning moment

We found a new place to throw the ball with Luci,

and Luci started obedience class (finally) !

The cherry on top to our wonderful month was when our front porch furniture arrived from my Nana and Papa!! We ordered pizza and spent the rest of the night lounging on the porch. It's definitely one of our favorite parts of this house :-)

Katlyn's Bachelorette Weekend!

Y'all! Katlyn's bachelorette weekend gets it's own post because oh my goodness it was SUCH a wonderful weekend!! We got some hard news last week, so this trip couldn't have come at a more perfect time. I got to spend a long weekend with some of my favorite girls relaxing, beachin', and laughing until we couldn't breathe. It truly refreshed my soul!

We arrived to the beach late Thursday night and the place was darling! The perfect spot for 6 girls to spend the weekend at Oak Island.

Even though it was late, we all wanted to go stick our toes in the sand! :-)

The next day we slept in and then hit the beach! I clearly needed some sun on my skin! #ghost

Brittany and Katlyn were my roomies Jr/Sr year of college and they are forever friends!!

We had to get Mexican food Friday night since it was Cinco de Mayo weekend and Katlyn's last Fiesta :-)

That night we came home, built a fire (that I had to cover my nose from #allergies), then stayed up late playing games and laughing until we hurt. It was the best!

Saturday was another beautiful day at the beach!

We ordered pizza for lunch and brought it out to the beach

Then we went inside with enough time to get ready for our Sunset boat ride

Our boat sailed out of Southport and it was a beautiful "cruise" around the port area near Fort Caswell and Bald Head Island.

After the boat ride, we ate a delicious dinner at Fishy Fishy and there was an amazing musician who took requests and played some of our favorite songs. It was awesome.

We stayed up talking and laughing some more that night.

On Sunday morning, I was sad to leave after such a great weekend but man my heart was full!
