Hawaii Days 5 & 6

Day 5 and 6 on our trip held more fun and adventure :-)

DAY 5:

On Tuesday, we had snorkel reservations at 8:00am. We arrived at the dock right on time and set sail for the morning. It was so nice to sit up by the sail and enjoy the scenery on the catamaran. We also saw some beautiful fish and even a turtle!

After waking up early two mornings in a row, we were all ready for a slow afternoon. Most of us took naps and then we enjoyed lasagna on the lanai :-) We hit up the hot tub that night to round out the day!

DAY 6:

We woke up on Wednesday morning and reserved a luau for that night. So, we decided to make it another beach day! We loaded up the golf cart and head back to lagoon 2 :-)

There were so. many. weddings. every single day. We counted one day and there were 5 … while we were out there 5 hours. They really crank them out at Ko'Olina! Ha ha

That evening we headed over to Paradise Cove within our resort to experience a Hawaiian luau!!

We were greeted with leis and fruity drinks :-)

There was a lot to do before dinner & the show. Anna, Faith, and I decided to get some tattoos while Mom, Phil, and Andy waited in line to hold some tropical birds.

After about an hour, this guy started blowing his conch shell to direct us to many different luau traditions. We saw the right ways to wear a sarong, Chief Umi breaking open a coconut, a man climb a palm tree a throw flowers, and much more!

I fit in some bracelet making before dinner ;-)

After lots of activities, they had prepared a tasty Hawaiian buffet.

Show time!!

This luau was SO much fun. They made sure to add in tons of culture to the event which made it that much more interesting. It was everything I thought a luau would be, and more! :-)
