Memorial Weekend!

I'm finally sitting down and updating my blog on June 29th. However, these next few blogs will still be dated at an appropriate time because it must be organized ;-)

Memorial Day weekend was SO fun and refreshing. We had finally gotten over our never ending sickness and we spent the weekend seeing (almost) all of my family.

We drove to Salemburg Friday, and we spent the night at my Grandaddy's. The next day, we had a reunion, of sorts, with Phil's family. We don't get to see them nearly enough, so it was nice to catch-up with everyone!

We were sad that my cousin Evan and his wife Ashlee were not at the reunion, especially since it was Memorial Day and he is currently serving our country in Japan. We wanted to make signs for them to send our love :-)

That afternoon, we hit the road again to head to Myrtle Beach to see my Nana, Papa, and Aunt Darlene! A storm was rolling in, but that didn't stop us from having a good night and enjoying a golf cart ride!

& for memories sake… I have to note that it was shortly after this picture that I realized I didn't have my phone. I thought I had left it at the condo but I was also SURE I had brought it with us on the golf cart. Then a crazy search ensued. If you're wondering, the "find my iPhone" app is on POINT!  We got back to the condo and it kept saying that my phone was 150 ft. from where we were, so we basically turned the condo upside down looking for it. We finally called it a night and said we'd continue looking in the morning. When I woke up, I decided to follow the little blue dot on Andy's phone to EXACTLY where it said the phone was, so I started walking down the road towards the condo offices. Sure enough, whena I was right over the "phone dot" my phone was sitting at the door step of the offices. Some one had found it (probably in the road!!) and dropped it off. Praise the Lord. & remember how it stormed? My phone was fine too! What we won't do for our precious iPhones :-)

After the phone was found, the clouds parted and it ended up being a beautiful day!!! We spent the rest of the day at the beach and it was wonderful.

Papa really wanted Red Lobster, so we went there to celebrate his birthday!

Serious talk in the car ;-)

Before leaving on Monday, we spent some time at the Outlets with Nana and Aunt Da. Afterwards, we had a long trek back to WV.

It was a perfect weekend to (almost) kick start our summer!! Only a week and a half left of school!
