The Royal-Barton wedding weekend officially began last Thursday, Oct 25th! My Mom and Anna and Andy and myself arrived to our airbnb on Thursday afternoon! We settled in, grabbed dinner, and then went over to Uncle Charles and Aunt Kim's house to get the party started :-) I loved the Welcome Bag they gave us for our airbnb!
Friday morning Anna and I attended Barrett's Bridesmaid's Luncheon that my mom and her sisters hosted in downtown Raleigh. It was beautifully decorated (outside was pouring rain and cold! haha) and the food was delicious!!
I finally got to meet up with the bridal party since I missed Barrett's bachelorette weekend back in July.
Barrett gave such a sweet speech. She also gave each member of the bridal party gorgeous earrings to wear at the wedding!
It was a fun morning :-)
That night, Phil had arrived and we all attended the Rehearsal Dinner at The Umstead. All the bridesmaids ended up in the bathroom at the same time Ha ha
It was also a beautiful atmosphere with delicious food!
After Stephen's dad gave a speech, Stephen's brother, Rosie, and I got to share our speeches too :-)
Will and Leah arrived to Raleigh during the rehearsal dinner so every one had made it! (Except Faith who had to stay in Charleston for school :-( )
Of course, we had to end the night with a classic "cute" selfie ;-)
It was fun to get to hang out with my mom and sibs that night. We rarely EVER all sleep under the same roof anymore.
Saturday, October 27th was wedding day!! I got to Uncle Charles and Aunt Kim's house around 8:30 to begin beautifying. Aunt Kim had an amazing set-up of breakfast foods and fun music playing. We got to relax and chat in between getting hair and make-up done and it was so nice. Here's my finished look minus lipstick!
We took a party bus/shuttle over to Meredith Chapel around 1:00. We took pictures and hung out until it was go-time!
My first selfie with Mrs. Barton! She's married!! The ceremony was so sweet and perfect.
Barrett and Stephen took some more pictures and then we took the same party bus/shuttle over to the reception space - North Ridge Country Club.
While we waited on the reception to start, we had hors d'oeuvres in a room next to the huge ballroom. It was fun to get some sneak peeks! It was stunning!!
After our introductions and the first dances, I reunited with my hot date and family :-)
We had a scrumptious meal and danced the night away! They had a wonderful band and it was evident that everyone was having a great time!
I loved seeing this table on our way out. What a sweet and thoughtful way to remember Mama Faye <3 (and other family members that weren't able to join them)
We all lit and held up HUGE sparklers to send them on their way!!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Barton!!! It was such a joy getting to celebrate the two of you! I can't wait to see how you grow together. Welcome to the family, Stephen! :-)
