Wedding Plans!! {I said YES to the dress}

This past weekend, with the help of my Mom, Anna, and Faith I said YES to the dress!!!

In perfect timing, last week I received a package from my Nana, Papa, and Aunt Darlene with lots of goodies, including bridal magazines!! It was fun getting to see the dresses my Nana tabbed and they definitely gave me some ideas going into the weekend! They spoil me for sure but I like to call it blessed ;)

We made an appointment with Poffie Girls at the Carolina Bridal Showcase back in August. I know several girls, including Amy, that found their dress at Poffie Girls on the first stop! I knew I wanted to shop there and they did not disappoint!!

My appointment was at 10:00 and my bridal consultant, Sara, was with us right away. We discussed my interests, our budget, and I showed her my Pinterest board then she was off to pull dresses! She pulled about 8 dresses and all of them were exactly what I was wanting! I only had to try on 4 dresses before deciding on THE one!!! It was definitely surreal to have my dress on. I can't WAIT to wear it for Andy next August! Once Sara wrote up the order, we browsed bridesmaid and mother of the bride dresses and then we were finished! I can't believe we were done in one trip but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Once we left we went to lunch at Pikes Soda Shop and then went home to take naps! It was a full and exciting morning to say the least :)

Highlights and Happenings

A little interruption of all the exciting wedding posts to give an update on my recent highlights and happenings around here!

I FINALLY got my car back the first week of class before clinic/double practicum started. It had been exactly a month since I had seen/driven it and it felt so good to have my baby back! I'm so glad I was able to have transportation the whole time it was in the shop but I was certainly glad to end the musical cars game. It looks soo good!!! S&M body shop did a fabulous job. 

I started double practicum on Monday, August 25th. Double practicum basically equals absolute craziness. I have a nursing home/rehab placement in Wilkesboro two days a week, a school placement in Boone two days a week, and class 4 nights a week. Each semester brings higher expectations and a larger work/clinic load. I am SO excited to be on the home stretch before internship though!

Andy came this past weekend for Labor Day! We had a pretty low-key weekend. We just went out to dinner a couple times, watched football, and hung out. Saturday Meghan joined us to go on one last tubing trip of the summer!

I'm sure it will start cooling off soon! I'm pretty excited for fall this year, thinking about it being the last fall before I'm married :) Finishing off classes this fall just may add to the excitement too ;)
