Spring Break 2015

Well, my last spring break ever has come and gone!
It started off with a wedding shower for my brother's fiancé, Leah last Saturday and turned into a relaxing week due to a minor gum surgery I had on Monday. Though it has been pretty painful, I got many snuggles from my favorite pup and some much needed rest!

The week ended on a high note when I got to see this handsome guy and visit my favorite flower girls :-)

I'm now on the home stretch until graduation!!

2015 Barrister's Ball

I wasn't blogging much around the time I went to Andy's first Barrister's Ball, two years ago. It is basically just a big dinner & party that the law school throws each year in the spring. I wasn't able to go last year but I was so glad I got to make it for his LAST one. Now that was something to celebrate :)

Here we are going to his 1L Barrister's Ball

This past weekend, I made the drive up to Morgantown. Andy met me about 3/4 of the way at his parent's house so I wouldn't be driving alone so late. We got to his apt around midnight. This is what we look like after a full week and all that driving.

Saturday night we cleaned up nicely and were ready to go party!

Andy with his "boyz"

Why not take a selfie while waiting on dinner?

It was a fun night and well worth the drive. I'm so proud of my man and all he has accomplished in law school. I can't believe these three years are coming to a close but boy am I happy to see the light at the end of the tunnel! He has worked so hard and I can't wait to really celebrate his graduation AND completion of the bar once we're married. It's less than 5 months away!!! You got this babe :)

SnOMG Chapel Hill Edition

Chapel Hill did not disappoint me with the snow days we got this year! The weather has been icy and snowy off and on for the past two weeks. I ended up having four snow days in two weeks. That is more than I ever got in Boone ha!

It started the Monday after Valentine's Day weekend. I was shocked when I saw this appear on my phone!

We got a good bit of ice which had the town closed for two days!

A snow shower of big, beautiful flakes came and went fast on Wednesday and we enjoyed watching it while we ate dinner :)

The next Tuesday brought more ice and another snow day.

Then last Wednesday night we got the biggest storm of all. We got about 5-6 inches! That's a lot in these parts. Thursday afternoon Amy, Michelle, and I went on a walk and built a snow man :) We had to enjoy at least one of these snow days outside!

loved these little doggy prints

There were snowmen all over the place. I thought these two were cute.

We ended our fun with snow cream and a Disney movie :)

I always love having a taste of winter because, really, who wants cold days all winter without snow!? But now I'm ready for spring!!

I got a nice taste of Spring today when the high was close to 70 and I went to barre class in flip flops and no jacket. Woohoo! Bring on the warmth :)

Valentine's Day Weekend!

I got to spend Valentine's Day weekend with my man this year! He came to Chapel Hill and we had a great time just spending time together :)

Friday night we went to Tyler's Taproom, per Amy's suggestion, and it was delicious! We laughed at the fact that we ate an early dinner and were in bed by 10:00. We're getting old people!

Saturday we had our special Valentine's dinner. Since we've been in grad/law school, it's kind of been an unspoken rule that we don't do many gifts, see: we're broke. But Andy always does something super sweet for me that usually involves dinner, flowers, or a combination of the two. This year Andy kept dinner a surprise until Saturday, then he let me know that we'd be going to the Cheesecake Factory. We've gotten their cheesecake to-go several times but we've never actually eaten there together. Since they don't take reservations we decided to go at 4:00 and it was perfect! They had an hour wait so we walked around the mall and we were seated around 5:15.  Let me just tell you, it was absolutely delicious.

By the time we left there was a line out the door!

Once again, since we ate an early dinner, we were both exhausted and in bed by around 10:00. I just love the time we have together and I can't wait for our first Valentine's as Mr. and Mrs. next year :)

Show & Tell Tuesdays: Share Your Love Story

It's funny how it seems that within the craziness of double practicum last semester I had no time to blog, but I had a lot I wanted to say. Now that I have much more free time during my internship, I don't have much to blog Ha ha I will update on our fabulous, low-key Valentine's Day weekend, but first, I want to link up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday!

I found Andrea's blog through Shay and I love all the fun link-ups she does! I'm excited to participate in today's 1) because Andy and I have a pretty crazy story ;) and 2) because I've already written it all out, last Valentine's Day :)

Andy and I are middle school sweethearts. We have also been dating long distance our entire relationship, which always leads people to ask "well how did you meet!?" To read our love story start here !!

We're now less than 6 months away from getting married!! Go here to read our engagement story :)

& just for fun I will add some of our pictures over time. Andy is my absolute best friend and I am so incredibly thankful that God brought us together. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with this sweet, hardworking, handsome man :)

Thanks for stopping by!
