A West Virginia Weekend

Have a mentioned how crazy this semester has been!? I have SO many fun trips planned in the coming weeks. But all my summer work/practicum paired with all the traveling has made me one exhausted chick. I still want to post about my weekend with Andy and the in-lawmosts ;) We have gotten so bad at taking pictures together but here are a few from our weekend. 

We had a campfire Friday night and roasted hot dogs and smores! 

Saturday afternoon we headed to Mark and Stephanie's for a cookout for Mark's birthday. I love taking pictures of him driving :P

And thanks to Stephanie, we at least have one picture together from the weekend! :) Unfortunately, I had to leave soon after church on Sunday since I've got a super early wake-up call on Mondays. It was a fun weekend though, but they always are when they involve Andy :) #sappysappy

Mom & Anna's Visit to Boone

My mom and Anna came to visit on Thursday!! I had a full morning of administering diagnostic tests so I was so excited to see them! The first thing my mom wanted to do is go kayaking at Price Lake on the parkway. Meghan and I did this last year over Labor Day weekend and she's been wanting to go ever since. We picked up Chick fil a and were on our way :)  

Afterwards we stopped by the Blowing Rock outlets then picked up Mellow Mushroom and stayed in the night watching TV :) Perfect girls night!

Friday morning we woke up and got ready to go river tubing! Another one of the most fun things to do in Boone in the summer, in my opinion ;)

We experienced just about every weather possible while floating down the river; it was cloudy, then sunny, then drizzled, then was sunny again. ha! It was an amazing 3 hour float and I would do it every weekend if I could!

We went back to my apartment, changed, and then went out for a late lunch at Our Daily Bread before they had to leave. 

I LOVE when my family visits. It was so nice to have them in Boone. I wish they could come more often!! 

My Best Friend is Engaged!!!

Who would have thought my best friend since birth and I would get engaged within months of one another!? So, so neat! And SO exciting!! Amy and Tyler got engaged this past weekend and I am beyond thrilled for them! I could not dream of a better guy for Amy. Andy and I love spending time with Amy and Tyler and I just know we'll be friends for life :) After Tyler popped the question, Amy's parent's threw a surprise party at their house! Highlights & Happenings

I haven't sat down and written a brain dump of recent happenings around here in a while. I just haven't had the motivation at. all. If I said last semester was hard, this semester is flat out exhausting. Going from 5:30am to 7:30pm nonstop will wear anyone out! I get home and I want to sleep for days ha ha Thankfully there have been some fun things going on too ;) 

The first weekend after being back at school Andy and I went to Charlotte for John's 2nd birthday party. I was so excited to spend time with my mom's family and hang out by the pool!

The next weekend consisted of making smoothies with Sophie, which turned out to be hilarious, Parkway trips with Meghan, & outlet shopping with Meghan and Mindy :)

This past weekend held some EXCITING news that I will post about tomorrow :) & finally today I went to the Blowing Rock Pool with Mindy and Meghan and in true Boone fashion, we got rained out ha ha
